Super Hero in the Basement

Cody

Cody walked in the door a little after 2:00AM. It was a long night of partying, but how often do you get to be the number one draft pick in the NFL?

Cody held a fist full of records as a half back for Penn State. He never rushed for less than a thousand yards in any one of his four seasons as a Nittany Lion and he was scouted early on by every franchise in the NFL. Cody signed with the San Francisco 49ers for a record multimillion dollar deal that was the envy of every college ball player in the NCAA.

Cody unzipped the tan knit shirt he was wearing and let it hang loose as he stumbled around the dark living room of his apartment. He ran his right hand over his smooth muscular chest and stomach, tracing every curve of every muscle of his chiseled torso as he considered whether to down a protein bar to satisfy the pangs of hunger he was feeling. His body was as lean and muscular as one would expect of a star running back. The countless hours Cody spent in the gym building his nearly perfect body was about to pay off in a big way as the Niners newest halfback.

Cody suddenly heard a loud crash that sobered him up almost immediately. This was the fourth time Cody’s apartment was broken into, but the first time he was home when it was happening. Cody hadn’t turned on the lights when he walked in the door and he figured whoever broke in didn’t expect to find anyone home.

Cody grabbed the baseball bat he kept under the sofa and moved toward the window. He flicked on the lamp and saw one of the neighborhood derelicts coming at him. Cody lifted the bat over his head and charged at the intruder. He swung the bat down wildly but missed as the young kid jumped to the left and then moved behind Cody. Cody spun around with the bat high over his head and suddenly felt a searing sharp pain in his gut. He dropped the bat and doubled over gasping for air as the wind was knocked out of him.

Cody had been in a few fights before and took a few punches to the stomach, but he knew something was different this time. He looked down and saw the scruffy kid's hand holding a knife handle flush against Cody's bare abdomen. Cody had been stabbed and the full length of the knife blade was driven into his belly.

The kid pulled the knife out of Cody’s gut and then wildly stabbed him again and again. Cody flexed his abs hard and grunted as the knife was repeatedly rammed into his thickly muscled belly. Each violent thrust drove the razor sharp blade into Cody’s fully flexed abs to the hilt of the knife. The blade sliced crisply through the flesh and muscle of Cody's rock had belly with a sharp thud.

Cody was brutally stabbed in the belly six times and once in the left side of his chest. The attacker left the knife stuck in Cody's chest as he panicked and ran out of the apartment.

Cody’s head fell back. He arched his back and gasped for air then fell to the floor. The deep stab wounds in Cody's belly and chest bled profusely and Cody was dead within minutes.

Friends

Prisoner

Though big and strong, the muscular gladiator refused to fight in the arena and will die a prisoner instead, stripped to the waist and without honor, and with a sword shoved in his belly.

On the Rocks

Joe's walk along the beach ended violently with him getting knifed in the gut by a new gang member eager to prove himself to the other gang members.

Beach Attack

The men knew it would be risky attacking from the beach, especially without armor. One by one the half-naked warriors were mercilessly cut down by enemy arrows.

Waiting

The gladiator fought well and yet he lies on his back in the sand with his opponent's foot on his chest and his opponent's blade against the gladiator's throat. Only the Emperor knows for sure if the gladiator will live or die.

Private Affair

Two gladiators fight for the amusement of those attending the Emperor's private banquet. One man will die with a blade stuck in his gut. Which one will it be?

The Arena

Gladiators battle for their lives in the arena. One gladiator has already lost the fight and lies face down in the sand with a sword in his back.

Competition

The Emperor was not pleased with the outcome of the competition and so he had one of his archers send an arrow into the chest of the winner, insuring a win by default for his favored nephew.

Against the Wall

The gladiator was slammed back against the wall and stabbed hard in the gut by his opponent's sword. The blade cut easily through the gladiator's exposed flesh and tore through his muscular torso, pinning him against the wall. His opponents ripped the sword out of the gladiator's belly and the gladiator fell to the sand clutching the gaping wound in his gut with both hands.

Ambushed

The gladiator never saw the archers that launched the arrows that ripped into his thickly muscled body. By the time the archers reached their prey, the gladiator had succumbed to his wounds.

By His Side

Fighting by the side of Maximus was an honor for the gladiator. Unfortunately, it was an honor that would have to be savored in death. The muscular gladiator was about to be run through the gut with a deadly thrust from an enemy sword he never saw coming.

In the Jungle

Tarzan easily defeated several attacking tribesman, tossing them around like little children. But as Tarzan tossed one of the warriors over his head, his torso was momentarily fully exposed. A tribesman lunged forward and stabbed Tarzan in the gut with a vicious thrust of his spear. Tarzan threw the tribesman to the ground but the spear had done its damage.

The Spaniard

The gladiator was quick and strong but, whether due to vanity or overconfidence, he wore no armor, choosing to face Maximus with his muscular torso fully exposed. Maximus' sword soon found an opening and he thrust his blade into the gladiator's thickly muscled bare belly. Maximus pulled his sword out and quickly thrust again, running the well-muscled gladiator through. The wounded gladiator steadied himself against the arena wall but Maximus' blade cut deep and death was only moments away.

Archers

The battle was going well for the barbarian until a Roman archer launched two arrows that pierced the barbarian's bare chest, taking him out of the battle.

Speared in the Back

The gladiator tried to escape his fate in the arena but his freedom was short lived. A Centurion's spear caught the gladiator in the back and brought him down.

Mustang Sally's House of Horror

Fubu Stabbing

Kevin had just walked in from a long night of partying. He stripped off his shirt and splashed cold water on his face at the bathroom sink. When he opened his eyes he caught a glimpse of the reflection of someone in the bathroom behind him. He turned and the stranger rammed a knife into Kevin's gut.

Fate

"Fate" is one of several short films included in Screamkings' dvd release Twisted Vol. 4 which is available for purchase at www.Screamkings.com .

"Fate" tells the story of a young man who is kidnapped and brutally killed. The kidnapper, played by great looking actor Joseph Schneider, is then haunted by his victim, played by young actor Doug Oliphant. The plot allows director Alex Pucci to indulge the viewer with the killing of Schneider several times throughout the film and in a variety of different ways. Schneider, who has a great muscular body and is shirtless for much of the film, is stabbed, shot, and strangled, and plays the death scenes very convincingly. There is a great stabbing scene with Schneider getting knifed in the belly by Oliphant and there are two terrific scenes where Schneider is shot with a gun. In both shooting scenes Oliphant pushes the muzzle of the gun into Schneider's belly and fires several times. Schneider's reaction to being shot is just great as is the expert direction and camera work of Pucci throughout "Fate."

The other shorts included in Twisted Vol. 4 were good stories but "Fate" is by far the best and makes the dvd well worth the cost.

Below are some stills of actor Joseph Schneider and a clip of the stabbing scene.

This is my re-edit of the stabbing scene.
